About Me
Software engineer with 7+ years in startups, across healthcare SaaS, smart retail and connected hardware, genomics lab software, ed-tech and agency web work. I work mostly in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and NestJS, and I usually own features end to end, from the architecture to the UI. At TAS I've also helped bring AI into how we build: pre-PR review skills, automated Claude review on every PR, and structured knowledge for coding agents. I move fast without cutting corners, and I care about code that's still easy to change years later.
## Personal
I read constantly, mostly other people's postmortems and architecture writeups. The gym happens on a schedule I actually keep. Side projects are how I learn: Fortuna and Mindforge both started as something I wanted and could not find.
## Technical
React, TypeScript and Node across the stack, plus Lit and Web Components where a design system has to outlive the framework that created it. Most of my time goes to the things that are expensive to retrofit: accessibility and render performance, and getting the API contract right the first time.
## Languages
Portuguese is native. English is the language I work in: standups, code review and design discussion, every day since the start of 2025, with a team split between Brazil and Arizona.

Senior Software Engineer
+Own features end to end on a U.S. healthcare SaaS platform, from inventory-logistics flows to a full billing suite, writing the Postgres migrations, core-api services, domain events, and API contracts, then carrying each through to accessible production UI.
+Built foundational pieces of the design system the entire platform ships on: the data grid, select, dialogs, and the virtualized select and grid that fixed a platform-wide performance ceiling. Maintain it with accessibility and performance treated as requirements, not nice-to-haves, and am currently fitting the platform to a phone.
+Fix reliability holes that only surface under partial failure, including a bug where notification failures could roll back the business writes that triggered them, and an atomicity hole that left orphaned records when PDF generation failed. Made multi-invoice sending all-or-nothing, so a rejected batch changes nothing and names every offender, and tested it by inducing real S3 outages.
+Own testing across the stack: Playwright integration, page, API, and visual-regression suites. Fix the test infrastructure itself, including a monorepo test command that was silently skipping 13 packages.
+Review frontend PRs for architecture and fidelity to Figma designs.
+Helped bring agentic development into the team's engineering process: wrote pre-PR review skills so problems get caught before a PR is even opened, set up automated Claude review on every PR, and built a hierarchical knowledge base that keeps coding agents productive in the codebase.
+Built and owned the backoffice that runs a network of 1,000+ smart retail coolers: order management, inventory control, promotions, fiscal reporting, and live operational dashboards used daily by internal teams and licensed operators.
+Shipped the planogram builder behind a greenfield connected-cooler platform: drag-and-drop shelf composition, stackable product modeling, live door preview, and fleet-wide rollout scored against a computer-vision compliance model.
+Ran releases for both products, reviewing and merging 274 pull requests to trunk, 75% of all merges on the newer platform, and owning the production hotfix path.
+Wrote the frontend architecture standard the team built against: clean architecture with ports and adapters, the engineering conventions, and the definition of done.
+Largest contributor to the shared design system, roughly 70 React and TypeScript components documented in Storybook and reused across teams.
+Introduced end-to-end testing with Cypress, catching bugs before deploys instead of after, then extended CI to run the suite in parallel through Docker builds to AWS ECR.
+Created accessible, interactive data visualizations for day-to-day operational decisions, covering sales, execution, demographics, and energy consumption.

Education
I taught myself to program, from documentation, other people's code and things that broke in production. The formal part came after seven years of shipping, not before it.
MBA, Software Architecture

Full Cycle
studying
Full Cycle's architecture program, 600 hours in five modules: solution architecture, software architecture (DDD, SOLID, hexagonal and clean architecture, CQRS, event driven systems), DevOps and SRE (containers and Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, observability), soft skills, and architecture in the age of AI agents.

Fortuna
fortuna.up.railway.app
A personal finance app that keeps spending, cards, parcelas, investments and goals in one place, with an AI co-pilot that reads your bank statements, flags surprises, and answers in plain language. Built for Brazil (BRL, CDI, parcelas) and fully bilingual.
A learning tool that turns a topic into a fundamentals-first curriculum, then has an agent write each lesson on demand as you work through it. Three trackers report how far, how much, and how often you have studied, without streaks or invented percentages to inflate the numbers. Built as a TypeScript monorepo with a React front end, a NestJS API, and a Supabase backend.

Modular Game Store
rrambul/modular-game-store
A micro-frontend e-commerce platform built with Rspack and Module Federation, as a working example of frontend architecture that scales across large distributed teams.
A real-time financial market monitoring platform using Lit, Lit Signals, Rspack, and Module Federation, written to see how reactive UIs hold up under streaming data loads.
Trigger life-saving alerts, register animals for adoption and find the nearest pet looking for a home. An open-source project with 739+ stars and 318+ forks on GitHub.
